I remember a quote that claimed that Jesus never got in trouble for being too strict or too hard on anyone. No, the things that caught Jesus in trouble with the authorities were his mercies, his healings, his inclusions, his giving of grace to those who others thought were unworthy. When is the last time that you or I got criticized for being too gracious or merciful?
